The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the concept and characteristics of intellectual disabilities (IT) and the causes that lead to them; to familiarize students with communication characteristics and specificities in the field of language and speech abilities of people with intellectual disabilities; to familiarize students with the principles of rehabilitation in the field of communication and language speech disorders; to teach students how to apply the acquired knowledge in order to plan and implement the rehabilitation of language speech difficulties in the population with IT.
