Assistive Technology Laboratory - AT Lab

The Assistive Technology Laboratory (AT Lab) was established in September 2022 at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences. Its founding was a key activity of the ATTEND project.

The AT Lab conducts teaching, scientific research, clinical, professional, and advisory activities in the assessment, procurement, implementation, and adaptation of assistive technology.

Through practical classroom activities, students develop essential skills for their future professional work, particularly in applying assistive technology when working with children with developmental difficulties, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.

In addition to supporting the Educational Rehabilitation study programme, the Laboratory organises various educational activities for students, persons with disabilities, and practitioners, including workshops, digital tool applications, and equipment demonstrations.

The AT Lab collaborates with educational and healthcare institutions, associations, and university entities to implement scientific and professional research and projects. One of the Lab’s core missions is raising public awareness about the importance of assistive technology in improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
