The library provides its services trough numerous activities, among which the following stand out:

• acquisition of new library items and development of library collections;
• processing of library items according to professional standards, which includes the creation of information aids in printed and/or electronic format;
• archiving, preservation and protection of library items and the implementation of measures to protect library items that are regarded as cultural heritage;
• providing information services, loaning and lending of library items, including interlibrary loan;
• providing bibliometric services;
• digitization of library items;
• guiding and teaching library useres how to select and use library items, catalog, information aids and information sources;
• keeping of documentation and collecting statistical data on library items, users and use of the library services, and entering these data into the System of unified electronic collection of statistical data on library operations at the National and University Library in Zagreb, in accordance with the national regulation;
• preparation of cultural, informational, educational and scientific contents and programs;
• and other jobs in accordance with national regulation.

The catalog contains records of books and other library items and enables:

• searching by: author name, title, key words, publisher, year of publishing...
• browsing by: alphabetic list of authors and titles, signatures, subject, topics, key words...
• and checking the availability of desired titles.

Loan

Who can loan library items?

Library of the Faculty is open too public, but only students and employees of the Faculty have a right to loan library items. External users can use library items under special conditions. 

Items available for loan?

Most of the library items are available for loan outside of the Library.

Items excluded from loan outside of the Library are: journals, encyclopedias, dictionaries, lexicons, old and/or valuable items, electronic items on portable devices, last copy of the title that is mandatory literature and student papers. Items excluded from loan, can be used i library reading room.

E-course of the Library on Merlin

Students of teh Faculty are enrolled in the Library e-course on Merlin, where they can find additional information about library services and find out information about news and current events.
