Description:
After completing the course and passing the exam, students will gain knowledge about conflicts, strategies, or methods of conflict resolution, and acquire basic competencies for the implementation of the negotiation and mediation process.

Learning outcomes:
Analyze the theories underlying the conflict and connect them with the type and nature of the conflict as well as possible interventions for resolving the conflict
Analyze the conflict in relation to its elements and conceptual frameworks for choosing a method of conflict resolution
Compare different conflict resolution styles
Compare basic conflict resolution models
Match communication skills with conflict resolution skills
Demonstrate the basic steps of the negotiation and mediation process
Present the way and methods of resolving conflicts on a concrete example

Important notes:
The stated content of the course by weeks serves as a teaching framework. Namely, the content of the course may vary from the stated framework in order to meet the needs of a specific group of students.
The exact dates of the guest lecturers will be agreed later, after the start of classes, about which students will be notified in time.
In the course, we will combine conflict resolution theory with experiential learning on the above topics. Discussions, self-reflection, exercises and tasks in small groups, case studies, etc. it will allow students to link conflict resolution with their own experience and personal learning.

EVALUATION AND EVALUATION OF STUDENTS 'WORK DURING CLASSES AND THE FINAL EXAM

Students are required to complete agreed homework assignments with the teacher. For each unfinished homework, the student is deducted 0.5 points from the written exam.
The written exam carries a maximum of 18 points and consists of a total of 9 questions. The questions are: true / false, match terms, essay (describe, explain, explain, show by example).

Method of scoring student obligations:
Completed all homework / online assignments maximum 2 points
Written knowledge test maximum 18 points
A total of 20 points

Ratio of points and grades:
20.19 excellent
18.17 very good
16,15,14 good
13.12 sufficient
Less than 11 insufficient
Learning outcomes:
  1. Synthesize the etiologies of behavioral problems
  2. Represent the best interests of the target population.
  3. Communicate about information, ideas and solutions to the professional and general public in writing or orally, using professional terminology.
  4. Select relevant sources of information to encourage professional self development or lifelong learning.
  5. Analyze the characteristics of persons with behavioral problems.
  6. Assess the intervention environment for the purpose of effective implementation of interventions.
  7. Apply social pedagogical interventions in accordance with instructions, plans and strategies for professional treatment.
  8. Write a socio-pedagogical opinion and a finding on the implemented interventions.
  9. Act in accordance with ethical principles and modern standards of the profession.
