Description:
Course objectives
Determining previously acquired knowledge about the types of speech fluency disorders and the symptoms of stuttering. Adopt basic clinical knowledge. Students will acquire basic knowledge about stuttering, including developmental, genetic, behavioral, and cognitive components. Distinguish between different types of stuttering and cluttering. Acquire basic knowledge about the diagnosis of stuttering in preschool children, school children and adults. Acquire basic knowledge about stuttering therapy in preschool children, school children and adults.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Integrate clinical information to plan and implement speech-language pathology assessment.
  2. Integrate clinical information to plan and implement a speech-language pathology intervention.
  3. Apply ethical principles in speech-language pathology work/practice.
  4. Use modern technologies in planning and implementing speech-language pathology work/practice.
  5. Evaluate the outcomes of speech-language pathology intervention.
  6. Propose solutions in the field of communication, listening, language, speech and voice as well as reading, writing, eating and swallowing to people inside and outside the professional environment representing professional opinion.
