Description:
Aims of the course:
The aim of this course is to develop students' competences important for the understanding different methods of clinical assessment, ways of approaching, communicating and principles of the forensic assessment and treatment of the offenders.
Expected consequences of the course:
After the course students will be able to:
understand specificities of forensic psychiatry
define basic principles of forensic assessment of offenders
understand and explain legal norms related to the treatment of offenders
define and explain ethical norms in forensic assessment and treatment of offenders
understand and explain forensic-psychiatric specificities of a certain diagnostic categories

to define and explain ethical norms in forensic assessment and treatment of offenders
to understand and explain forensic-psychiatric specificities of certain diagnostic categories
Learning outcomes:
  1. Critically evaluate the etiological and phenomenological characteristics of specific behavioral problems at local, national and international levels in a given period
  2. Assess the characteristics and intervention needs of beneficiary using modern, scientifically and clinically based instruments / procedures
  3. Improve existing collaborations within an interdisciplinary team approach and propose new collaborations in the best interests of beneficiary
