Description:
Course objective:
To develop students competencies for the application of experiential activities in work with children and youth.

Expected learning outcomes:
Valorize the importance and contribution of various activities (and professions) in achieving the principles of experiential pedagogy
Recognize importance of knowing the personal potentials and strengths of beneficiaries in planning experiential activities
Manage own professional communication while working together in experiential activities
Accept the responsibility that the knowledge and achievements of other professions should be used fairly and responsibly in their own professional work
Self-assess of focus on cooperation during exercises
Reflect, in writing and orally on own experiences during the exercises
Apply social and communication competencies during exercises

Content:
Experiential learning-models and characteristics and the role of teachers in the process of experiential learning
Definition, characteristics and development of experiential pedagogy
Experience as an element of learning, integration of experience-work on student experiences

Assessment and evaluation:
The final grade is created on the basis of activities and written reflection on experiential exercises and a final essay in which the student has the task to integrate their personal potentials with experiences in working on experiential projects and literature.
Reflections on individual exercises are submitted in electronic form to the Merlin system, ending with the date specified in the syllabus and the Merlin system.
The final essay is submitted in writing to the Merlin system.
