Principal investigator: Prof. Daniela Cvitković, PhD
Our team member, Marijana Vrankić Pavon, a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Inclusive Education and Rehabilitation, participated in a one-week methodological Summer School organized by MethodsNET at Central European University in Vienna, Austria.
As part of the Summer School, she attended a course on focus groups led by Prof. Virginie Van Ingelgom from UCLouvain (Belgium). The programme brought together students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers from various countries and academic disciplines, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and gain up-to-date methodological knowledge. Participants learned how to design and conduct focus groups, as well as how to analyse qualitative data.
The knowledge and skills acquired during the Summer School will be directly applied in the implementation of the institutional research project IIP-11-POKAR, in which we plan to conduct focus groups with parents who have ADHD and are raising a child with ADHD. Beyond the valuable methodological training, the Summer School also provided an excellent opportunity for international networking, exchanging ideas, and learning about good research practices.
We look forward to applying these new insights in the next stages of the POKAR project!
