Member of the project team, Mateja Vukašinec, univ. mag. rehab. educ., participated at the REHACARE International, held in Düsseldorf from 23 to 26 September 2026. REHACARE is one of the largest European event dedicated to rehabilitation, care and inclusion, where manufacturers and professionals from around the world present the latest solutions for persons with disabilities. During her participation, she learned about new developments in assistive technology, including augmentative and alternative communication devices with artificial intelligence features, interactive multisensory and musical instruments, virtual reality systems, eye-gaze control systems, adapted keyboards, and adapted seating and work furniture. Particular attention was given to a detailed exploration of potential equipment that could be used within the project “Digital and Assistive Technology in the Application of Expressive Arts Therapies for Persons with Motor Disorders” (IIP-10-ART-DIGI), with a focus on solutions that can make artistic expression more accessible to persons with motor disorders and support their active participation. The knowledge gained and the contacts established with manufacturers and distributors will support equipment procurement planning and further development of the project's planned activities.
