Bruna Bašić, MSc in Rehabilitation and Education Sciences and MSc in Kinesiology, a research assistant on the project “Early Behavioural Markers of Neurodevelopmental Deviations in Visuospatial Processing and Visual-Motor Integration in Preterm Infants” (PRE-VISOR), participated in the Advanced Course in General Movements Assessment (GMA), held in Modena, Italy, from 23 to 26 September 2026.
The advanced course is intended for professionals who already apply Prechtl’s General Movement Assessment and have previously completed a basic course under the auspices of the General Movements Trust. It brought together participants from around the world. The programme provided intensive training in clinical judgment, assessment details, professional terminology and technique, and the application of individual developmental trajectories. The course was led by Andrea Guzzetta, Full Professor at the University of Pisa and a child neuropsychiatrist at IRCCS Fondazione Stella Maris.
The training contributes to the research conducted within the PRE-VISOR project, in which spontaneous movements are assessed as potential early indicators of later visuospatial processing and visual-motor integration in preterm infants.
Participation in the course was supported by the Croatian Science Foundation under the “Young Researchers’ Career Development Project – Training New Doctoral Students” call (DOK-2025-02).
