Outgoing Staff Mobility in 2024/2025.

The mobility of university staff is a very important aspect of the internationalization of higher education. The Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation encourages the outgoing mobility of teaching and non-teaching staff for the purpose of advanced training or teaching at foreign institutions.

In the academic year 2024/2025, the following activities were implemented:

ERF participated for the first time as a partner in the Erasmus+ activity BIP – Blended Intensive program. From 5 to 9 May 2025, Prof. Irma Kovčo Vukadin, Sabina Mandić, and eight students of Social Pedagogy participated in the BIP program 'Cyberbullying' in Ghent, Belgium. The program coordinator is Odisee University of Applied Sciences, and in addition to ERF, the partners in the program were also the universities from Belgium, Poland and Netherlands. Students participated in numerous workshops, lectures and extracurricular activities. During the five-day program, they gained valuable knowledge and experience on this important topic.

Based on an inter-university agreement with Indiana State University, USA, classes were held at the partner university Indiana State University. Assoc. Prof. Dalibor Doležal and 9 students of the graduate study of Social Pedagogy stayed from August 24 to September 5, 2025 at Indiana State University, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Criminology and Security Studies.

As part of the Erasmus+ KA131: mobility for training purposes program, the Head of the Office for Projects and International Cooperation, Vesna Čavić, visited the University of Lisbon from 25 to 30 May 2025 for the International Staff Week: 'Enhancing Internationalization in Higher Education Institutions', where she participated in lectures and workshops on the topic of internationalization and international mobility and exchanged experiences with colleagues from other countries.

As part of the Erasmus+ KA131: mobility for the purpose of training, the Head of the Library, Matija Panić, stayed from 18 to 24 May 2025 at the Erasmus+ Staff Week Training at Charles University in Prague, where he participated in lectures, workshops and visits to faculty libraries in Prague.

As part of the Erasmus+ KA131: international opening program, mobility for the purpose of teaching, Assoc. Prof. Ana Bonetti stayed from 19 to 24 May 2025 at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation, University of Tuzla, where she held 8 hours of classes as part of the Voice Disorders course.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program: teacher mobility, Assoc. Prof. Ana Leko Krhen and Assistant Ana Došen visited the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychology and Speech-Language Pathology. Assoc. Prof. . Leko Krhen held three lectures, as well as the meetings with professors and visited the University Hospital. She presented the Speech Therapy study program to colleagues and discussed current research in the field of speech fluency disorders. Assistant Ana Došen realized the mobility for the purpose of professional development related to clinical and scientific practice in the field of speech therapy and neuroscience. Activities included meetings with members of the Department, a visit to the University Hospital, participation in group therapies and lectures, participation in research team meetings and presentation of the topic of her doctoral thesis.

As part of the Erasmus+ program mobility for the purpose of training), the Head of the Postgraduate Studies Department, Lucia Omerović, attended the Erasmus Staff week in Salzburg from October 14 to 18, 2024, organized by Paracelsus Medical University. As part of the Staff week, workshops were held for the purpose of exchanging knowledge, best practices and innovative ideas, improving learning skills and solving problems.

Associate Professor Josipa Mihić stayed from May 12 to 18, 2025 at the University of Amsterdam at the Department of Psychology, where she gave a lecture entitled 'Prevention of Behavioral Problems of Children and Youth - New Perspectives' and participated in research activities measuring physiological indicators in young people with the intention of examining the impact of contemplative practices on mental health problems and positive development.

For the purpose of scientific and professional development, Prof. Maja Cepanec, Assoc. Prof. Sanja Šimleša and Assoc. Prof. Jasmina Stošić stayed at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden from 1 to 3 April 2025. During their stay at the Karolinska Institute, they held meetings with numerous scientists and clinicians with whom they discussed the differential diagnosis of autism, methodology in autism research and measurement instruments, as well as the possibilities of their standardization in the Republic of Croatia. The professors also learned about clinical (evidence-based) support in the field of autism that is being implemented in Sweden.

Assoc. Prof. Dalibor Doležal visited Salve Regina University, Rhode Island, USA from 22 to 26 October 2024. Prof. Doležal gave a lecture on Crime and Criminology in Croatia for students and professors. During the visit, he held a meeting with professors from the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology.

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Grant - Assoc. Prof. Ana Matić Škorić stayed from August 19 to December 19, 2024 in the United States of America, at Temple University, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Eleanor M. Saffran Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, Concepts and Cognition Laboratory. Assoc. Prof. Matić Škorić's application entitled 'A comprehensive psycholinguistic approach to mild cognitive impairment and dementia: how are aspects of cognitive decline reflected in language?' was approved for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Grant. During the visit, part of a longitudinal study was conducted as part of the large Language, Concepts, and Cognition Across the Lifespan project. The project is focused on researching the cognitive and language abilities of older adults at risk for mild cognitive impairment and dementia, and is conducted using EEG, ECG, eye movement tracking devices, and neuropsychological and language tests. In addition to this activity, two additional studies were designed on the relationship between language and visual perception, specifically the correspondence between language production and visual search in different conditions.
