On the occasion of the National Day of Educational Rehabilitation Specialists, held on 2 March 2026, a professional program dedicated to current challenges and innovations in the field of educational rehabilitation was organized.
As part of the program, Assoc. Prof. Ana Katušić, PhD, from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, presented the work of the Early Motor Behaviour Research Lab (LIRaMP) through the lecture “First Movements, First Insights – Continuity of Research and Early Assessment in the Work of the Early Motor Behaviour Research Lab.”
The presentation highlighted research focused on early motor and visual behaviour patterns in infants and their association with later neurodevelopmental outcomes. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of early developmental assessment and the use of scientifically grounded methods that enable the timely identification of developmental risks and the planning of appropriate support during infancy.
Research activities of the Lab are conducted within the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) project PRE-VISOR and the institutional research project RADO, both of which contribute to the development of evidence-based approaches to the early detection of developmental risks and the advancement of early intervention systems.
Members of the Early Motor Behaviour Research Lab include Assoc. Prof. Ana Katušić, PhD; Ana Marija Bohaček, PhD; Prof. Sonja Alimović, PhD; and doctoral candidates Bruna Bašić and Andrea Paulik.
