Description:
Course outcomes:
describe and explain the terms language and linguistic idioms in the context of clinical work;
explain and apply methods of examining language activities;
enumerate, explain and distinguish terminology in the field of language disorders;
describe and explain the underlying clinical picture of developmental language and speech disorders.

Student responsibilities:
prepare and present a seminar paper in a group
active participation in teaching
passed written exam.

Gradeing:
The grade is based on the points collected on the written exam. The written exam includes the content of lectures and seminars.
The total number of points on the exam is 30.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Describe the typical communication and speech-language development and the acquisition of reading and writing (pre)skills.
  2. Describe the effects of risk factors for hearing, communication, language, voice, speech, reading, writing, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
  3. Conduct screening in the areas of hearing, communication, language, voice, speech, reading, writing, feeding, and swallowing.
