Laboratory

The Laboratory for Psycholinguistic Research has been established in 1999 to organize the research in the interdisciplinary field of psycholinguistics, a research field that is relatively new in Croatia. Researchers of various background work in the Lab, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, linguists, computer scientists... They all work on various topics in language acquisition and development, language impairments, language processing etc.

Our premisses are in Zvonimirova 8, on the first floor. On the left side you will find a library, a computer room and two rooms in which we conduct EEG and eye-tracking recordings. The lab also has its Clinical-Research Unit located in a kindergarten Mali princ in Jordanovac.

The researchers take part in teaching on a few undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies. The more detailed information are available if you click on the link Courses.

The Lab also contributed to some new study programmes at the University of Zagreb. In 2002 the first interdisciplinary doctoral study programme in Language and Cognitive Neuroscience enrolled its first students. Today the study programme is reorganized in accordance to Bologna process. The second and the third generation of students have been enrolled. The Lab contributes to the joint graduate study in cognitive sciences Mei:CogSci (University of Vienna, Medical University of Vienna, University of Ljubljana, University of Bratislava, Etvos Roland University in Budapest, Technical and Economy University Budapest and University of Zagreb).
