Study Programmes
At the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb, three undergraduate university studies are conducted: Rehabilitation, Speech and Language Pathology and Social Pedagogy, three graduate university studies: Educational Rehabilitation, Speech and Language Pathology and Social Pedagogy, two postgraduate doctoral studies: Prevention Science and Disability Studies and Speech Disorders and listening and one postgraduate specialist study: Early Intervention in Educational Rehabilitation.
In accordance with the Bologna Declaration, the studies are organized through two educational cycles:
- undergraduate study lasting 3 years (6 semesters or 180 ECTS credits)
- graduate study lasting 2 years (4 semesters or 120 ECTS credits)
- postgraduate doctoral study lasting 3 years (6 semesters or 180 ECTS credits) and
- postgraduate specialist study lasting 1,5 year (3 semesters or 90 ECTS credits)
Teaching of individual studies is realized through lectures, seminars and exercises as well as through a number of hours of practical work (student internships) under the guidance and supervision of a mentor.
Undergraduate study programmes
Upon completion of undergraduate education, depending on the completed study program, the academic title is acquired:
- university bachelor (baccalaureus) / university bachelor (baccalaurea) of Educational Rehabilitation (univ. bacc. rehab. educ.)
- university bachelor (baccalaureus) / university bachelor (baccalaurea) Speech and Language Pathology (univ. bacc. speech therapist.)
- university bachelor (baccalaureus) / university bachelor (baccalaurea) of Social Pedagogy (univ. bacc. paed. soc.)
Graduate study programmes
Upon completion of graduate education, depending on the completed study program, the academic title is acquired:
- Master of Educational Rehabilitation (mag. rehab. educ.)
- Master of Speech an Language Pathology (mag. logoped.)
- Master of Social Pedagogy (mag. paed. soc.)
Postgraduate doctoral study programmes
Upon completion of postgraduate doctoral education, depending on the completed study program, the academic title is acquired:
- PhD in the field of social sciences, fields of educational and rehabilitation sciences, branch of behavioral disorders or inclusive education and rehabilitation
- PhD in the field of social sciences, scientific field of speech and language pathology
Postgraduate specialist study programmes
Upon completion of postgraduate specialist education, depending on the completed study program, the academic title is acquired:
- university specialist in early intervention specialist in educational rehabilitation
Upon completion of the undergraduate and / or graduate studies, the student receives a supplementary study certificate in addition to the diploma, which lists all the courses he / she passed during the studies.
