Scientific interests

  • Wider scientific and professional interests are focused on children and youth at risk, notably those in extra-familiar care settings.
  • She developed special interest in mentoring as a resource in the personal and professional development, and for the qualitative methodology.

Professional activities

  • Since her graduate study, she has been actively involved in the implementation and development of the mentorship programme "Big Sister, Big Brother", at first as a volunteer, and later as a supervisor and consultant.
  • Co-author of the manual and education for volunteers in mentorship programmes. She is a long-time associate of the UNICEF on various programmes of protection of children’s rights.
  • She has been actively cooperating with the Volunteer Centre Zagreb on the development of youth volunteer activities and volunteer programmes in public care institutions.
  • Member of the Management Board of the Volunteer Centre Zagreb
  • Since 2009, secretary of the journal Criminology & Social Integration
  • Participates in the work of the Centre for Lifelong Learning of the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb on programmes of education of experts
