Bruna Bašić, MSc in Rehabilitation and Education Sciences and MSc in Kinesiology, a research assistant on the PRE-VISOR project, attended an International Course ‘Infant Motor Profile’ (IMP) in assessing early neuromotor development. The course took place on 5–6 October 2026 at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) in the Netherlands and was led by Dr Kirsten Heineman and Dr Tjitske Hielkema. The IMP is an instrument for assessing neuromotor development in infants aged 3 to 18 months. Alongside motor performance, it assesses four qualitative domains of motor behaviour: variation, adaptability, symmetry and fluency, providing insight into the diversity and quality of infant movements. The programme combined theoretical lectures with practical exercises in analysing video recordings of infants of different ages, administering the instrument and scoring assessments. Applications of the IMP in research and clinical practice were also explored, and the course concluded with a knowledge assessment. The knowledge gained contributes to a broader understanding of early motor development and its connections with other developmental domains, a topic closely related to the research conducted within the PRE-VISOR project. Participation in the course was made possible through financial support from the City of Zagreb for doctoral students’ education.

On 15 th October ERF participated for the first time in Erasmus Days, an event held every year for a week during October to celebrate worldwide the success of the Erasmus+ programme and its impact on individuals and organizations. This initiative by the European Commission aims to strengthen the quality of education, training, and lifelong learning. With this event, ERF joined numerous organizations across Croatia and Europe that presented their experiences and activities within the Erasmus program.

Bruna Bašić, MSc in Rehabilitation and Education Sciences and MSc in Kinesiology, a research assistant on the project “Early Behavioural Markers of Neurodevelopmental Deviations in Visuospatial Processing and Visual-Motor Integration in Preterm Infants” (PRE-VISOR) , participated in the Advanced Course in General Movements Assessment (GMA) , held in Modena, Italy, from 23 to 26 September 2026. The advanced course is intended for professionals who already apply Prechtl’s General Movement Assessment and have previously completed a basic course under the auspices of the General Movements Trust. It brought together participants from around the world. The programme provided intensive training in clinical judgment, assessment details, professional terminology and technique, and the application of individual developmental trajectories. The course was led by Andrea Guzzetta, Full Professor at the University of Pisa and a child neuropsychiatrist at IRCCS Fondazione Stella Maris. The training contributes to the research conducted within the PRE-VISOR project, in which spontaneous movements are assessed as potential early indicators of later visuospatial processing and visual-motor integration in preterm infants. Participation in the course was supported by the Croatian Science Foundation under the “Young Researchers’ Career Development Project – Training New Doctoral Students” call (DOK-2025-02).
